Nomination Summary
I am Rosalyn Allen, a teacher at Sackville High School. I teach in a program called Intervention, where I work with students at risk of leaving school, students who are in need of extra supports, and who are often in crisis. I have had the pleasure of working with Gina Duggan and during the summer vacation; I have had some time to reflect on my year. I want to let you know what an amazing resource Gina is to students. She has addressed some major issues at SHS with our students. She has worked with my students on issues such as healthy relationships and sexuality. She is an advocate for students, she is concerned about their overall health, and she provides a safe place for them to express themselves. I have been meaning to send a note all year regarding her valuable knowledge and her kind, compassionate spirit.
